The
Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 and
Michelin CrossClimate 2 are premium tyre models manufactured by two of the world’s leading
tyre brands.
Both carry the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) mark for winter performance, but they’re tuned differently: Michelin emphasises longevity and snow grip, while Goodyear focuses on aquaplaning control and balanced handling.
This comparison breaks down label ratings, noise and price so you can decide which tyre suits your car and driving needs.
Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 Overview
The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 is a premium all-season tyre model first introduced by
Goodyear in 2020.
Goodyear’s Vector 4Seasons model arrives with the EU sanctioned 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake) marking, which indicates that the model has gone through rigorous testing and has been deemed suitable for winter driving.
Along with the 3PMSF, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 provides Goodyear’s Aquaplaning Control Technology, which includes deeper and wider grooves within the tyre's tread. This helps removing surface water from the tyre's path efficiently and quickly.
The tyre also features Dry Handling Technology, giving the tyre a 5% increase in dry braking performance compared to its predecessor.
The Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 replaced the Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 upon the tyre model’s release.
